Public Hearing on Proposed Closing of Dible Elementary

Note: Please take notice that the Penn Hills Board of School Directors will convene a public hearing in the Board Room of the District's Administrative Offices, 309 Collins Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15235 on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 6:00 p.m., for the purpose of reviewing and discussing the proposed closing of Dible Elementary School of the Penn Hills School District. The address of Dible Elementary School is 1079 Jefferson Rd., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15235. Reasons for the proposed closing of Dible Elementary School and a description of how the proposed closing affects the student attendance areas will be presented at such public hearing.
This public hearing is being held pursuant to requirements of Section 780 of the Pennsylvania Public School Code. All residents are invited to attend. Anyone wishing agenda time, or wishing to submit written testimony or both, should contact the Secretary of the Board of School Directors in writing with their name and address not later than 3:00 p.m., Monday, March 29, 2010. Remarks will be received first from those individuals who pre-requested time on the agenda. Additional testimony will then be taken from the floor until all interested individuals have had an opportunity to speak. Public testimony will be limited to five (5) minutes per individual.
Written comments regarding the possible closing of Dible Elementary School may be submitted to the Secretary of the Board of School Directors until 4:00 pm., Friday, April 30, 2010.
